On that note...i have a Dell D520 for which i bought a DVD writer recently. My problem is that i can write DVD's but cant seem to write Mp3. Seems my Nero cant cut Mp3's...does anybody have some Mp3 writing software for me to utilise on my machine please?

There isnt even the option to write Mp3.
Unless im reading it wrong..I have the option to write an audio cd, copy a cd or dvd and then create a Jukebox cd / dvd which takes Mp3 and Mp4 and wma...but seems to be labelled as a data disc.
Perhaps i should try the Jukebox thing and see if that works...maybe the word data is just confusing me?

try data disc coz in effect anthing u writing 2 disc is data ....copy a mp3 file and anything else u can find using data disc and see if it worx...also plz tell me what version of nero u using??....incase u dont know bru .....right ontop u click on about nero it will tell u what version .....urrerwise kan jy more n draai maak by my en ek sort jou gou gou uit

ny nero 7 can def write mp3's bra what happened to the software that came along with the laptop (roxio) make sure that u actuallu bought a writer aslo ....take the drive out and check xactly what it says on top (dvd-rom,cd rom,dvd writer,cd writer)

Its a DVD RW drive hehehehehe as i said i can write DVD's and i got the Roxio software and checked it also says audio cd or jukebox cd...so i guess an Mp3 is classified as a jukebox disc then...will check and let u know if it worked.

Windows Media Player 11 allows you to write your MP3's directly from the application. There is a BURN option on the File Menu....not sure about version 10 though Media Player 11 also allows you to rip your normal CD's into MP3's with a single click, even while playing the CD.
