Hi guys,

So after doing some research on how to restore your headlights and having the guts to do it myself, so i came across a couple of clips on youtube ect...that was really useful and I must say I was surprised.

FYI I'm no professional, anyone can do this

What you will need is the following:

A bucket of soapy water ( I used Sunlight liquid)
600 grit wet sand paper
800 grit
2000 grit
and good headlight polish or cutting cream, I used Autosol Metal Polish :winkithumbs:

I did a small section just to be on the safe side.
So starting with 600 grit dip in soapy water and start sanding the headlight in one direction and apply a bit pressure not too much though until you see that soapy water becomes a bit dirty then you know for sure that you getting somewhere so just a couple of strokes , ( you know you get mense with mal krag)
do the same process with the 800 grit afterwards and then when you start using 2000 grit you will notice some change in your light when you do, then try and sand in a circular motion because you now feel that the surface of the lense becomes smoother, so for the final step you will need your cutting cream or good polish, wipe headlight clean with some rag until its no longer wet ect... so now you apply your polish with an applier or any microfibre cloth and start rubbing until the layer of polish becomes thin until you see some change and for final step take another clean microfibre cloth buff until you feel that silky smooth surface and vwaaLA!! i will attach a before and after of how my headlights look.

Did you purposely miss the clips that recommended the use of toothpaste?

:winkithumbs: Thanks Gents, lol about the toothpaste yor i tried 3 different kinds like the sensodyne, colgate and aquafresh but didnt work, my Mom even gave up on me and these headlights and told me " Heay go to a place where they do these things and rather pay" but I would rather save money where I can.

Apparently the whitening ones or the extra minty ones work best? Still sounds too good to be true

Good job man!
