I found a DIY for the Corsa C from the UK froum. Here we go: Note: This doesn't serve any sort of performance difference, but it does make a little more noise, better than putting a cone filter in in my opinion. I wasn't comfortable with drilling massive holes in my airbox, so this had to do. Tools required for this is 1 phillips screwdriver, 1 pair of pliers, a drill or dremel, and some patience. I assume you'll know how to open up your airbox, if you don't, close the bonnet and don't attempt this. Once you've opened up the air box. You have this under the panel filter. ![]() This is how to de-restrict the air box at the bottom. For this you can use a dremel or drill to get the plastic rivets off and end up with this result. ![]() Once done with the bottom part, you find that the top part has this cone thing which needs to come out. It looks like this: This cone thing can be cut off using a dremel or with lots of brute-force and swearing, it pushes out. If you have bad blood pressure, cut it rather. ![]() Put your airbox back together, not forgetting to put the filter back in like I did |

I don't think the top will flow better without the trumpet... |

I removed the top trumpet and not the bottom. Like I said, I don't know whether this actually improves any performance at all. But it makes a leka sound and it's free |

And the GM engineer responsible for the airbox commits suicide. Long development down the drain. More noise is not equal to more power in this case... Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk |

All this is true yes. But for somebody who wants a cone filter sound without the cone filter.... And with regards to the noise... please tell that to the people who make vacuum cleaners. Those things are way to f*****g noisy

No attitide Tino. None at all. I know why a vacuum sounds like that yes. But it's quite annoying when you're trying to work on complicated boiler drawings when the cleaner comes and vacuums your desk |

So you don't actually have a problem with the designer of the vacuum cleaner, but rather with you cleaning lady then? Okay... All good. Different strokes for different folks. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk |

In theory Sound doesn't exist inside a vacuum,as some of you scientists may know,if not google it, cool thing to try is put your phone on voice record inside a vacuum cleaner, put it on for awhile, then remove the phone and press play, dead silent, only the sound of u opening the vacuum again obviously. Mind=blown. Ok I'm done. |

Viper... Airbox 101. All that stuff you took out is there to smooth airflow. The sound you hear is turbulence. Turbulent air is "messy" and doesn't flow fast. So that free "mod" can also be detrimental. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk |
