For sound advice!

Been out of the sound game for a while now, 2yrs to be exact, so I just wanna know who prefers what makes of the ffg:
HU: indash / normal deck / double din? And brand?
preferred amp brand?
preferred subs brand?
preferred splits?
etc.
Plse & thnx

Preferred HU is Pioneer. I have my 3rd 1 and cant wait to install it in my car. Although i did have 2 sony's and never had any probs with them.
Amps i nogals like Ice power. Cheap, but never gave me any probs. I have had probs with starsound and reference audio. Both being 4 channels just to power splits and co-axials.
Subs, well not really bramd loyal. Would go Digital Design if i could afford it. Tried pioneer and sony and for me pioneer was better. Gonna fit cadence in my car so will see how that plays.
Splits, starsound digital was nice and loud. Had infinity, brilliant sound quality, little pricey though. Gona try out vibe in my car. I like experimenting for myself.

Cool, thnx for the info
I'm also leaning towards a pioneer HU (have always been a pioneer fan & still got my pioneer subs & stuff)...& will go pioneer for everything else, besides the amp
Still very indecisive though

Its really up to you as an individual buddy, best is to sit in cars at shows and hear the diff setups which will give you ideas of what to mix and match...
Pioneer HU's are brilliant, although i haven't seen a decent and affordable double DIN one as yet.
For double DIN, JVC is king, you wont go wrong there.
As for speakers, it really comes down to affordability vs quality as well as preference.
But, don't save costs when it comes to wiring if you going to run powerful and expensive setups

why are you rating the jvc double din over the pioneers ?
11 Oct 2013, 10:14
but installed Avh-2450bt in the honda and its really nice ( considering the dash is high and sun hits it )

There is some cool Alpine DD's. I dont know much about the brand but its nice high res screen and looks really cool. I want those

In terms of price (value for features you get) JVC wins... (7" screen) unless you hit a luck at some store for a Pioneer.
In terms Brand, its very close, honestly... Both brands have excellent Audio signal processing. They both have 7 to 8 band Pre amp equalizers. 50W x 4. Sub channel and frequency. EQ presets. Built in X-overs ( which allows you to make the most of your standard speakers ) to enhance sound. Not to sure if Pioneer Decks come with a center channel option for Dolby Surround,,, maybe the MORE expensive ones do, but JVC has 5.1
The JVC's how ever still use LCD TFT screens. Pioneers have LED sceens and better resolutions if you want to get technical visually.
As for the rest of the features on a double din... you MUST research your model of choice to see if it comes with a "built in" or "Ready" option.
Like bluetooth, iphone connectivity, Navigation, Wifi, TV, AUX, DivX etc

Kenwood's decks are also really nice, good specs when it comes to tuning your sound even on the basic models. My Alpine im also quite happy with, its a basic model but it fulfills all my needs, except the fact that it has 1 rc output only. After Kenwood and Alpine its down to JVC and Pioneer. both have their merits but both are solid reliable brands for decks in my opinion. never had problems with either brand.
