im not sure of the exact size but i think its just a little bigger than mids, i put my speakers that were in my door in there and then bought a new set for the doors then hooked it up to a 3500watt 4 channel amp and 2x 10" subs behind the seats on a 5000watt monoblock.

you going to need a little bit of bass atleast because those speakers hurt your ears when the volume is turned up lol

thanks for the the input. I believe the doors take 6" and and sides behind seats take 5". would like to steer away from the subs because i will be utilising that space alot. any one with setup without sub and still get clarity with decent low tones. also can i mount my amp againt the wall behind the seat and is there any spaces i can use in the original speaker holes on the side to accomidate 6,5" splits.

Its 6.5" in front and 5.25" in the back.
By putting sound deadening behind the speaker(on the body panel off the car) u should get a better mid bass range of ur mids, also you can modify the holes by building much more sturdy pods.
Also go for trusted brands of mids.
Ps. The panels behind the seats start to rattle when u go too loud BTW.
But i dont think u will have that problem with no subs.
