Hi, so have any of you encountered this ANNOYING error on your CD30 MP3 decks?
some people only get the error when inserting certain CD-R's into the deck... but, in my case, the disk is inside, played, and the next day i started the car and saw the error code... any idea how to get rid of it, and,,,, how to take the disc out ... yup, its stuck inside lol

found this on web, same HU - Quote: Strange, the CD30 MP3 is a pretty solid unit, better than the previous Siemens/VDO ones anyway. But they all tend to have a "CD Error" at some stage where the disc is stuck inside and it won't eject it. Just have to loosen the battery for a minute or so to reset it. Have you tried a CD cleaning disc in your HU? Anyways, if you want to go with an after market unit then consider the following. What you'll need to to is get one of these : http://www.autostyle.co.za/car-audio...rim-plate.html http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread. ... 5-Error-CD

LOL...
@ CA, the new units dont use codes anymore hey, it has something to do with "marrying" the device to your car properly, so that means, that CD30 MP3 will only work with my car, no codes needed, u gotta divorce it from the car lol, in order for it to work in another and then u use Tech 2 to marry it again, bloody hectic i think...
anyways yea, tnx Mr Lupini... had already seen all those links , had nufin to do yesterday so i was browsing for solutions as well as for specials on double DIN's
Figured the issue tho....
the disc used was slightly thicker then usual (China Town k@k) and that gave the error and confused the player, so i removed the unit, unplugged, turned it upside down, gave a few taps, plugged it again, heard it spin and IMMEDIATELY pressed eject and Voila!!!
