You going to need 2 unless you get a 5 channel amp.

thats a nice setup... will sound great, make sure you get a proper spec'd box for the sub, cz that MONO gonna rock it! Certainly will handle two subs as well.

if you're gonna go for big sound, which it seems you are due to the MONO block power and with you wanting to add 2 subs, you will definitely need a second amp to power your splits to make them audible over the pounding bass... you've got enough space to work with in the doors, so get a bigger, split system set.

use 4AWG power and ground wires and make sure you get a proper box for your sub/s.
make sure your ground cable is secured on to the car chassis (sand paper the paint off where you connect it)
have your power cord layered in on the left side of the car and your RCA's on the right to prevent ignition / grounding whine.

that should get u off to a good start

Good quality RCA's will also prevent this.

With sound you should not get cheap anything. Your sound will only sound as good as your cheapest parts.

im intending to mount the mids on the backboard and the 5" speakers in the doors.

another option is to leave the rear-fill out for now, and get a better front-stage... I'm checking out the Soundmatch website and the Pioneer A1305C 5.25" components look decent. be sure to check how much clearance there is for the speaker motor structure in the door panel as well, and get some sound deadening for inside the door outer skin

Ok, kewl. Get a nice 4 channel to have them run off that instead of the deck.

+1 this will get the best out of the components

:winkithumbs: enjoy it!

just a quick question guys, how much are you paying per set of splits when going pioneer/jvc/sony?

personally i am not a fan and i have seen lightning audio's entry level stuff go for the same price and they play better... much better.
