So most ppl I meet nowadays dont drive there 16v T-cars everyday
And after I ditched the Corsa C and started driving the SB daily I noticed a few things

The interior is starting to rattle a bit (poly solid mounts suck dont do it, need normal mounts) the dash is actually a bit deformed in areas lol 19 years old and showing it. The rear circut board on my 16v clocks is plastic and its all a bit foooked up, wires burnt and resoldered, the oil light sometimes dont work, some of the lighting bulbs dont work etc
Secondly the cloth on the seats and door panels are faded and the stitching on my seat is coming loose. 3rdly does the T-Car dash have lights hehehe??????
4thly the headlights of that car sucks I have the most expensive bulbs u can find good wiring and my Brights is like the Corsa C`s Dimms :)

So what is a man do?
To see where I am going at 200+
Im gona try to fit a set of spots into the headlights :) like the 3.8 Gsi headlights

Now where ppl are gona disagree
Dash and Speedo
http://www.astra-mk2.com/forum/showthre ... h+in+a+mk2

Interior
Im gona redo it in leather, I saw a Supey from Atlantis with the stock seats covered in leather and it looks awesome, I will have the GSI logo stitched back on.

The last thing
I had to meet my parents down the west coast over the festive season
My friend with his fam in his volvo 2.8 Turbo
I cudnt take the Corsa C GSI cause we were in a hurry and there are hills on the west coast.
So I took the supey, and boy did we drive!!!
I kept up nicely with power to spare the only thing is it was a bit HOT! and the Supey dont have Aircon! I know the last supeys as an optional extra u cud get sunroof and a/c
I think i am gona steal A/c from a monza CD :) the std crank pulley can take 2 belts

gona turn this SB into a Touring Car
I will weigh everything compared to the stock parts to make sure im not adding too much weight
And I will bolt off the A/C in winter or for race days.

Now I heard the story, you cant do that to a supey
To me that is like saying
U have to leave a SB stock
U cant fit Throttles, or take off the SFI box, or change the xhaust manifold or flow the head

Besides the only time that SB will change owners is when I go overseas and then its going to my Brother. And if he ever sells it I am going to keep all the stock bits so if some oke wants the faded interior and rattling dash he can go hard with that :)

My questions are
I guess if u fit spots into ur headlights that is illegal? If u can see it thru that thick frosted glass of the T-Car headlights?
How much does a a/c system weigh?
do you guys think a 200is dash is much heavier than the T-car dash?

Did you try new lights yet? I didn have a problem seeing it night with my GSE,only when my belt fell of unkowingly :claugh:
I have a compressor from a monza lyin in the garage, dont have a scale thou,I wud guess it just above 5kg,that is without the other goodies needed, brackets etc.Want to install it in my GSi.
The t-car's dash is mos wood, lol.Think it mite be lighter than the F models. If you find out where to get these dashes & price, let me know.

to be honest that is not my department. but i know a guy who does the wiring and fitted it in his 8 valves boss, then removed and fitted in his supie, then removed and fitted in his astra 140. and he used the indicator switches from a astra as well for the buttons.

will try and find out more as i think it can just be wired up on your car
