very confused at the moment...

my carpets were getting wet ever since i started using the heater for this cold winter weather..

so i thought maybe the heater matrix was leaking.. i stripped out my seats, center console carpet and the foam beneath it to let it all dry out and then took out the matrix.. sure enough there was water in the heater matrix cover..

but now, a week later my carpets are wet again.. havent replaced the matrix yet, just looped the inlet and outlet pipes together for now..

anywhere else it could be leaking..? i didnt notice any holes in the floor..

There is a black platic panel over the fan box in the engine bay, it runs accross from one side to the other, its made up of two parts, the top piece must seat over the bottom piece, if its the other way around then this happens

That or it is rusted around the fan unit.

Common problem.

I removed all the rust and then treated the areas. Afterwards I cut plastic and siliconed it in place. I know it is not the best solution, but it has worked fine for me.

its not a part everyone can see, so doesnt matter too much what it looks like.. main objectives are to stop the rust and the leak, so that idea should work..

shot a lot..

you used rust remedy..?

I cut away the bad parts and then used Hammerite. I am sure any rust stop product will do the trick, as long as you paint it as well.
