LCD Horizontal Position Issues

03 Oct 2010, 23:11

sup guys figured maybe one of you can help me

i have Samsung 923NW 17" or a 19" Widescreen, running screen resolultion at 1440x900 60Hertz RR, Nvidia 9600GT, Windows 7 64bit.

i noticed that my desktop is positioned a few centremeters down, i cant see the time properly or my taskbar icons, i tried setting the Horizontal Position on monitor even auto adjusted but it stays that way, played with the RR set it to 70hertz and changed resolution when i set to 1280x1024 then its perfect but everything is stretched, i updated to latest nvidia drivers ...

Driver date: 2010/07/09
Driver version: 8.17.12.5896
258.96_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_english_whql

games play fine, just my desktop is shifted a few centremeters down, can only see the tip of the icons in the taskbar, and at the top there a thick black area of nothing tried adjusting it in display properties but then when i play games the h-position is too far up, nothing is workin so im running out of ideas, anyone know what the problem could be any ideas will be appreciated ?

thnx

There should be an auto adjust button some where on the monitor.
Press it and it should adjust the picture correctly :)

You should go to the Nvidea application, advances options. Look for screen positioning, normally a square with arrows pointing outwards. You may need to create a profile or just edit the current one and then manually adjust the screen position and size.
