I've had Norton for a year now and worked well, except for the fact that it slows down the pc... Need to get a new 1 in a couple a days.

What else is out there and is better?

Value all ur comments.

I have a friend who operates with pirate cd's... he swears by Bitdefender. He told me Norton slowed his PC down to almost 10mins per CD, burnt. With Bit defender he averages 2-3mins per burn.

So I think that would be a good choice.

I'm not too clued up, but I would recon they all protect the same but the 1 that slows ur PC down the least, would be better... Not?

Depends what package you looking at also, Full packages that includes anti-virus, firewall and spam filters normally slow your pc down a bit.

to have good protection you have to make some sacrifices

Not true hey,not all protects the same.Do agree that some do use more resources than others, but that doesn't also make them better.

Very accurate, and no antivirus is the best, just some pick up viruses that others dont. I still reckon Nod32 is the best on the performance and picks up a lot of viruses and stuff, i recommend that.
