Project TS

10 Sep 2010, 10:26

Getting my TS back up and running to the spec i want it to be. The car was driving until i removed the larger turbo setup and sold it. I will now be re-doing everything to the spec i want it. Building a new Manifold, downpipe etc. Same turbo as the corsa is running.

Things i have already that are going in:
1000cc RC Injectors
Ball bearing turbo
Electronic boost controller
Quaife diff
Water cooled oil cooler
GTC Calipers with 308mm disks

Things on the way:
Tial 44mm wastegate
Trunk mount water/meth kit

Things that need to be made:
Manifold
Downpipe
Boost pipes
Aircon lines
Power steering lines
Custom Radiator
Radiator fans mount
Coil overs for the front struts

The car will have a bigger turbo, working A/C, remaking the power steering lines, so that they run where i want them to, same with the A/C lines. Custom radiator will fill up the space where the stock cooler went, wiring will be run for the Fans so that the MSX turns them on instead of the two fan switches on the stock radiator.

The engine already had the right groceries in it. ie wiseco pistons, scat rods, arp head studs, etc etc. but will be stripped and new rings and bearings and gaskets will be fitted.

Will only go to Street to strip events, although i might have to run lower boost cause i think it will do 12's on street tyres. Won't bring it to an MSA event with slicks etc as there is no point, the corsa would be far faster.

Will be primarily for street use. Got a nice sound system in the car, and with a working a/c and alot of power should be a nice ride.

Wanna have it done in the next 3 months. Need to fabricate the manifold first, then remove engine and gearbox, respray the engine bay fit the quaife and do a quick rebuild.

Nah dude, i would never sell it, if i had to i would have to ask 150k for it just to break even. It will be the cleanest TS anyone has seen believe me.

Please give that advice to that friend of ours, whose Astra is busy fossilising in his garage
