427ci Lumina conversion

16 May 2011, 08:01

hey boys
just to let u know my 7.0L forged shortblock is on route from the USA
It comprises a new LS3 (2011 camaro 6.2L) ally block
4340 stroker crank
H-Beam conrods
Wiseco custom forged pistons
Stroker windage tray
Balanced and assembled
compression ratio calculated at 10.7:1
We re-using my old top end, which are stock 6.0L heads, and my old camshaft etc as well
Luck is they sending me a custom tune as well, which we can upload to my ECU using HP tuner
Its a easy conversion as all the sensors, covers, oil pan etc all direct swap into the UTE

we estimate around 425kw aspirated
pump gas

having a forged sub allows the use of nitrous as well, but we'll be limited to around 500kw total until theres drivetrain issues etc..

cool. it sounds a lot but compared to a turbo conversion it's not. Good luck with the build man!

In this case N/A FTW!
