if you serious about this do i right once pal.
1st start off by getting a full management system which will give you total control of the car .
And you can rid of all the stock rubbish like ICV,airflow meter ect!
Do the cam,do the porting of the head and the valves, fit 4-2-1 branch , fit 63mm exhaust . Rather get the complete engine balanced go to dice perfromace mr Dave Ingle he can do it and did mine and probably 100s of other mk1 golfs.
leave the crank as it is.
deck the block ,fit xe pistons,skim the head .
in injection form the 8v should be pushing close to the 115kw mark!
if throttles added you will be pushing from 125 to 140kw and way over 205nm of torque.
There is also enough info on this forum about different 8v builds best to search abit that was just a 5c from my side!
