Some of you might know my Corsa. I'll post a link of the whole build if anybody wants to go through the trouble of reading it...

Anyways, I thought I'd start a thread on here of all my exploits with it. Starting with prep for next season already

Here are some pics of the last race of 2016:

So... In preparation for next year, went and picked these up today

Image

Working on some vernier pulleys. Not looking to gain power - looking to manipulate the power and torque curves. If you have a look at my last dyno sheet, it might help to explain what I'm after

Image

Looking to get the power to be there all the way to 7000rpm, and the torque to be available for longer. I think it should be possible to get a working solution with the longer duration cams and playing with cam timing and lash...

Will see when I have it tuned next year. Gotta wait for the pulleys though [emoji19]

Ai ai ai

Brief summary of my conversation when I spoke to the guy selling the cams

Me - "Are these for the Astra G 1800 16v?"
Him - "That's the one, yes"
Me - "X18XE1. Remember it's the small block"
Him -"Yes - for sure"
Me - "Gonna send you a picture of my engine just to confirm"
Him - "Yup - same engine"

Start stripping today...

They are the wrong cams [emoji19]

Like what you have done with it.
Been following your progress on the Opel Owners Forum for some time.
Good luck with next year.

Too bad you don't have V-TEC.

It changes your cam profile in high RPM.

I think I may have some small block cams laying around at home.
