Ek het dam weer gevorder met die Opel motor. Alles kom mooi aanmekaar. Ek is baie tevrede, begin sien nou uit dat die ou start. Al wat ek tot dus ver kort is een injector wat seergekry het met die trek.

This weekend, I fitted a new release bearing and wash the engine bay. The coming weekend I want to drain the gearbox oil and fill up with some fresh oil.
Any one knows the amount and type of oil I need? (STD / F28 box)

In the picture of my profile is my previous Opel, a Rekord 2.0 E Berlina S automatic. It was my pride and joy and every now and then I still miss it. My current Opel, Corsa C diesel, is a very good and reliable car and it still drives very well after 360.000 km but it is missing that little bit of "magic" that was present in the Rekord.

Soo this weekend I did not get anything done. Got cam-caps from Jaco. After fitting the 2 cams, one did not want to turn, after inspection, I found 2 caps where pinching the intake cam. Answer I got, top must be line-bored. Can I only line-bore the caps or must I remove the top again?

Measured the cam all over. And found 27,95mm. Tolerances seems good, only the 2 caps are a problem. Will see how I will sort this out.

Me again, I need old or drawings of the 2 guide pulleys on the C20LET motor. It is almost 2K for those pulleys. I will make my own, and also, not from plastic.
