broke number 4 piston. damage to the bore and combustion chamber aswell. dnt actually wna spend all that money on wiseco or arias pistons. one part says buy pistons and rebuild engine other part says build a........................................

its becoming to unreliable and the body tore aswell.so i dnt kno.i might rebuild but then im gna sell the car. do you think its easier to sell a n/a than a turbo car?

Will keep it a family sedan for the next year ,with alittle spice, the decide it's future at the end of next year. Might sell or strip the weight and made it a permanent drag car. If it’s the later, it will become rear wheel drive.

So engine and gearbox out on Saturday. Engine tripped and ready for the engineers.

List of duties for the engineers

Re-sleeve block - new pistons are 20thou but block currently on 60
Machine the main caps flush with the rest of the block to make provision for the girdle
knife edge the crank. This has 2 benifates
1. makes the crank more streamlined so that there less aerodynamic forces playing up against it at high revs. Beneficial when you wanna rev to 9k+
2. makes the crank a bit lighter but not too concerned about that. lighter bottom means less torgue.
