G'day All! First time here and I thought I'd post a pic of the little bakkie .. got some new alloys this week: TSW Legend 4 17" Anthracite with polished lip Tyres are Bridgestone MY01 205/40/17's The final diameter of the new wheel is exactly the same as the old steel 14" which means the body clearance is HUGE! As anyone here dropped his/her bakkie? Which kit dit you ge-use? Anything pits I should be aware of?

nai lol, sal nooit somma vis op so n bakkie laai nie. jy moet luister by team addiction (mr corsa addict) hulle het n paar bakkies, en dit goed is almal laag. Daai bakkie van mr ca, wietie watte kit hy ophet nie, maar dit is nogal cumfy ride

Ek't gecheck jy's nie serious nie .. ek't nou die dag 'n snoek gat koep vi 'n braai ... 2 dae lank gestink!! Thanks, ek sal vra ... ek laai so nou en dan ligte loads, wil net seker maak dat dit die wiele nie sal rub of iets nie. Laterz, nou moet ekke eers gat wêk!!

Nice bakkie bra....like the wheels I've got a Koenic Lowering Kit (40mm) on & haven't had any problems with it as yet plus the ride is lekker. it also has a lifetime guarantee. Cost was R1300 fitted 2 years back You obviously can go lower than 40mm, it looks very, very nice!!...but you would then compromise you comfort & driveability... w.r.t warranty, i had no hassles with Thorp Delta in Paarl. I even once had my front right-hand side wheel bearing replaced & it was a warrantee claim, plus I had my 17inch tyres on! They never said anything, plus I even got a courtest call the next day to find out if i was satisfied!

Yor .. this was a long time ago!
Anyways .. as some of you may have heard ... sold the TSW Legends last week ... and got me these:
BBS LM (replica) 17" running on Falken Z522's 205/40/17
I noticed that compared to the MY01's the Falkens do run a little bit louder
Also, according to the ratings on the sidewall the Falkens got an A-rating for traction, compared to the B-rating for MY01's.
Temp and Treadwear are rated as A and 300 respectively for both.
The LM's appear to be smaller because of the much wider lip.
Only problem now is that the wheels are shinier than the UTE!
