Yes they truly are, I just want to ask you does your car also make like a loud turbo whistling sound when flatten your foot on the pedal.

Yes all of ours do. Its a recirculating valve, has a tendancy to be louder in cold weather

mine makes brrrrrrr tshhh lol
yes it does but i think it depends on the filter. K&n and others will give louder whistles
oem filter silences it a lot but you can still hear the "suck" lol
i have a cone on and its just bells and whistles every time i touch my pedal lol

Intercooler should cool it down enough i think.I get more power and better fuel economy with it on.
It sits inside the original filter box. Felt it after a hard drive and it wasn't warm.
So could be too little to notice or none at all
:dunno:

Smart man, what is better to put a cone filter on or a flatbed filter, because I'm also thinking of getting me one soon

would assume heatsoak with cone would be detrimental for performance

i get heat soak with mine, but thats only when i traffic, the tsssssh sound is just too much fun to worry about heat soak, i loose top end power.

the whistle noise is due to the OEM air box, its normal. if you put a cone filter all you get is a loud and harsh, brrrr tsssssh lol. Fun car yes...
