lol, I had the golf before I got the opel, it's a Mk1 1.3 carb. The golf is still in my name, gave it to my sister for her birthday last year.
So yea..... hence why I dont get involved in "forum fights" about Opel vs VW. My golf served me well for years, it's the only 1.3 carb I know that can pull a Nissan 3L 4x4 out the sand.
