Howzit guys and girls..This is a serious warning to every1 who uses the internet..

Yesterday my stepmom was busy on the internet when the house phone rang.It was an Indian guy claiming he is from Microsoft, and told her that they are monitoring some1 who is busy hacking her computer, and that he can guide her step by step on how to save her PC,at which moment some1 was at the front door,so she told him she has to go,he then gave her his name and number and told her to phone him back,or he will phone back in an hour...Finding it a bit suspicious, she phoned me and told me what has happened..So i googled the number he gave her,and many links popped up of this scammer/hacker who tricks u into thinking he works for Microsoft, and then without knowing,u give him full access of your PC,he then continues to try and sell u a "product" which can help you prevent future hackers etc..So when he phoned back later,i answered the phone, then he insisted to speak to the lady he was speaking to,and got very agitated when i refused, then when i told him i know all about him and his scam,he threatened me and my family unless we make a payment to a bank account, and that he knows our address ( he did ).So then i hung up,and phoned the police. They then told me they have a team of people after this guy allready and he has conned many people out of thousands of rands.

So when some1 phones u and says he is from Microsoft, hang up,coz Microsoft will never phone you.
Just thought id share this with all of you and maybe save u some bucks.

If someone told me that I would just laugh my ass off and that he should try it.

..True story, a dude tried to break-into our house while me and my mom was there. long story short. I caught the guy and held him down while she gave him a beating of a lifetime! :angry2: It was legendary!

Same thing happened to me twice already but was an "american" woman. I'm quite paranoid when it comes to my PC lol so when she started questioning me I hung up, then she phoned back later and I told her I dont own a pc and she hung up.

Later I found out its a big scam thats been happening to a lot of people.

pcmart247 is a scamming tech support and the proof is that they have decided to cheat customers with a different name now http://www.cytechmart.com ... Cytechmart is purely a phishing site to try and get you to buy services you do not require.. Their new toll free number is 1-800-474-0168 i tried calling them but they acted as they don't know me. I'm planning to report it to better business bureau.
