Was pricing around for shocks for my parents VW Passat, thier quote came out around R500+ cheaper than other places for Monroe shocks.
So I take it through the next morning, all seems good.
Get the car back later, all seems good still for a first..
The next day I move the car out of the garage to get to the cupboard that's infront of it, I check a massive oil patch, Not blaming them for that or anything, I open the bonnet to find whats leaking..
Then discover the battery cover has "vanished" mysteriously.. I go back to them in the Opel and tell them its gone since they worked on the car, I just get attitude from the owner saying "Oh well its your word against mine". Never took the Passat through due to that oil leak.
I leave because I couldn't be bothered with arguing about it since he wouldn't bother helping at all.

I get back home, check the Passat again, open the water bottle and find this nice overflowing bottle filled with oil..
Turns out the oil cooler blew mysteriously after they had worked on the car, now I'm not accusing them of tampering with it, but what a co-incidence it blew after they had worked on the car & the battery cover "vanished" too.

No chance i'll take any of my cars back there again.

Now that is k..k bra!! Heard couple of mense complain about them.

A "small" update on the Passat,
So all this went down on the 1st April, so I have been sitting without a car since the start of April..
Called up the mechanics that have been working on the car for the first few months, they come tow it to their shop.
They call us, tell us the oil cooler has blown, which is why there is oil in the water and waterbottle.
They replace the oil cooler after a week of having the car, I get it back from them, they tell me it is mechanically fine to drive to Mykonos in, it takes me 30minutes to drive from Montague Gardens to Edgemead due to the car constantly cutting out and gears giving headaches, its automatic..
I finally get it home, park it, open the bonnet and the waterbottle is full of oil AGAIN, and they flushed the system 5+ times according to them.
Phone them up the next morning because I had enough .....
They come tow the car again, I get a call from them later that day saying now the gearbox oil cooler has blown.
Yes, what a forking coincidence, both coolers blow at the same time when they are not even linked!
So they go ahead, replace the radiator because the gearbox oil cooler is built into the radiator.
Now once more, they say the car is perfect to drive, takes me over an hour to get from Montague Gardens to Edgemead this time. Constantly missing gears, scratching sounds, no boost, revs dropping.
Call up a mech I know, he says it sounds like the box is skrewed, he recommended Triangle Transmissions to me.
Called up Triangle Transmissions, they come along and take the car away on a trailer today, they say the entire gearbox needs to be rebuilt due to water getting into the box due to the gearbox oil cooler blowing etc.
If the freaking gearbox oil cooler had been replaced in the beginning, none of this would have happened.
Now i've got to find basically the same amount I managed to sell my Opel for to rebuild the gearbox.
Not to mention the amount I have already had to fork out to pay for the new Oil cooler and Gearbox oil cooler.

Just had a call from Triangle Transmissions, they tell me the box is full of water/oil.
The so called mechanics that replaced the gearbox oil cooler told me they drained the gearbox oil and replaced it, load of sh...
And now that the oil/water has been sitting in the box since I got the car back last time, everything is screwed.
So literally every part has to get replaced inside of the gearbox.
And just to make it that much more pricey, it is an Automatic box with Tiptronic.

Kwik fit? Hah, more like kwik skelm ja!

The guys that did the coolers and all are BC Auto in Montague Gardens, not Kwikfit, I forgot to name them at first.
Kwikfit did the shocks, and helped themselves to the battery cover. After they did the work however the coolers went.
