Hi, no and nope. I've not had any experience with the company. I'd just like to know who here has. The company is real right other than people just saying it is? Or is it a running gag that I'm not in on? :eh: Actually a very serious question. :|

Road tuning is perfectly fine. That's how I tuned my Subaru. There isn't much difference from a technical point of view between road and dyno. You still do a pull from 2000rpm to redline in 3rd or 4th gear and use the logged data to modify parameters in you map accordingly. One thing you can't do with a road tune is keep the car at a certain load/rpm, but if you log long enough, you'll have enough data for that specific condition too.

In the end, the method of getting logs isn't really important. As long as you have enough data for each combination of load and rpm. All you care about is finding out whether the turbo can supply x boost at y rpm under z% load, running a:1 AFR with b degrees timing.

Dynos are much more practical though and it cuts down on time spent considerably. I remember Amien moaning to me about having spent 3 hours on my Coupe's tune. It sounded long. But then I tried road tuning my Subaru and it turned into a day-long affair because I had to make adjustments, reset the ECU, then go out and drive fast for 30 minutes, then come back and check the logs and make adjustments accordingly.

Thank you for the feedback.

I looked at two motor pics as well (on "their"fb group/org page). Those cars were advertised for sale in JHB and PMB? Maybe the pics were posted in admiration of the vehicles? I didn't bother going through more though.

Besides the blatant plagiarism then, coz well now I understand its not the same person or company, anybody ever raced one of these tuned CTRD cars? I'm beginning to think the company's fictional?
