Hi

All the best forums on the web have a mobile app. The Easiest and cheepest way is to get registered on Forum Runner and then iphone and android users can download the app and find our forum in the list. This is what the website says:

Forum Runner is a vBulletin, XenForo, myBB, and phpBB forum add-on that allows your users to access your forum at blazing fast speeds by using a native application installed on their mobile phone (Android or iPhone) or iPad/iPod Touch device. Forum Runner currently supports vBulletin v3.6.x, vBulletin v3.7.x, vBulletin v3.8.x, vBulletin v4.0.x, vBulletin v4.1.x, phpBB v3.0.x, XenForo 1.0.x, myBB v1.6.x., IP.Board 3.1.x, and IP.Board 3.2.x.

So will this be a possibility? Stepping into the new technology phase with the forum... Will be great should we do this. :duim:

Forum runner comes at a cost of R 15.22 to download and one gets the free version. Also our forum needs to be registered and not sure whether that comes at a cost as well.

- thanks very much Shags, im sure u r a very busy man. appreaciate it.

About the Cost:
The free version is for reading only. The Paid version allows everything.
Setting the server side is free, although our techie's have to do the work. Perhaps we can all buy them a beer.. and then they will be lekker sloshed at our next meet

Compatability:
Android and iOS (iPhone/ipad).
Yes, you will need a smart phone for anything more advanced than mxit. No offense to the 3310.
There is another app that works on blackberry

Not to be rude to the devs but they are clearly not bothered or too busy.

Many of us can't get much access other than on our phones.. for example my internet is blocked at work. I uld really appreciate it if shaggy or others would have another look please.
