Our Paarl members, a few CPT members, 1 CFM & 1 CL member joined forces to rep OCCT yesterday (15/03) at the 2014 Annual School Shoe Run in Paarl. The convoy of car & bike clubs started off at N1 City Mcd's with SABC & media crew present, escorted by provincial traffic control OpelClubCT was the first car club at the show. We entered the fields just after 10am & proceeded to set-up. It started getting extremely full very quickly with many car & bike clubs in attendance once the CPT convoy arrived. There was a rev-off, individual show & shine, but no sound-off due to some issue between Autopunks from CPT (who normally host sound-offs) & the event organizers Entry fee was either a pair of school shoes or R40pp. Our members donated a substantial amount of goodies to the kids & OpelClubCT covered the car-club display entry fee, resulting in a 3rd place win for our club  We even had a biker club come up to us & enquire about our club apparel, twice! They admired our golf-shirts  Great day (just very hot!), great people, awesome vibe, with a charity-driven initiative. You cannot go wrong Thanks to all our members, wives, gf's, & kids that came through
