 Event: Route 69  Date: 4 September, Sunday Convoy & Times: Meet-up at Engen Winelands 1-stop Garage (N1) at 07h30 to depart @ 08h30 SHARP!Route & Route Info: Convoy from the Engen Winelands Garage to Paarl, up Du Toits Kloof Pass, then head direction - Worcester, turn left just before the Shell Garage on the N1 & drive to Ceres (R43), where we will go up the Gydo Pass (if time allows) & then drive back to Paarl, CPT via Bainskloof (R301) Approximate Distance from the Engen Garage, along the route & back to Paarl: 201km's Random stops all along the route, for refreshments & pics, will take place. You are, however, URGED to make sure you have ENOUGH FUEL in your tank BEFORE we commence on the run!  Pack in enough refreshments, luxuries, food, snacks, okka's, etc. You can even bring a skottel with! ALL welcome, it's gonna be

Du Toit's Kloof is 18kms long, going up, lekker turns, not so twisty though, but a nice drive up, lekker view as well. Have you guys ever been up or down Bainskloof Pass aka 'Twist & Turn Pass' in Wellington? Now that's a hectic mountain pass!  ask Tino & Mischif or any of the other okes that were at our 2009 Opel Club end-of-year function. That's the way we taking back from Ceres. I've never been up the Gydo Pass as yet.

There won't be no fast driving, period! We gonna have a proper convoy You don't have to drive fast to enjoy a car or the mountain passes
