Just received this message from a games supplier:

DO NOT UPDATE
IF YOU ON XBOX LIVE DO NOT UPDATE YOUR CONSOLE TO THE LATEST DASHBOARD UPDATE
FOR THE KINECT KITT IT WILL DISABLE YOU FROM PLAYING BACKUP GAMES
CURRENTLY THERE IS NO FIRMWARE UPDATE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM

Well... i've done the update and so far have had no issues playing my copied games. Guess i'm one of the lucky ones.

Mmm, the source I got the info from is usually clued up on everything xbox as he does flashing, jtag, repairs and copies. Will see what he has to say and report back.

Seems to be only AP2.5 games that are affected as the update activated AP2.5 checking. Fable3 is AP2.5. Seems like a new hack firmware will be released and we will need to flash our dvd drives again.
AP2.5=Anti-Piracy version 2.5

i believe the kinect can't detect dark skin people only light skin. can anyone confirm.

They probably trying to use it in low light conditions. I think Kinect will only work properly under adequate lighting.
