The Spice Route Oktoberfest

It’s almost beer ‘o’clock time again… Join The Barley & Biltong Emporium at Spice Route Destination in Paarl for their annual beer festival. The Spice Route Oktoberfest will take place on the weekends of 19 and 20th September, 26th and 27th September and 3rd and 4th October 2015 from 10am to 6pm daily and you can expect the days to be filled with all things German – beer, food and music.



Eat: a German buffet of eisbein, pork ribs, bratwurst, sauerkraut, rotisserie chicken, lamb spit & salads.
Drink: Cape Brewing Co. Amber Weiss and a specially brewed Oktoberfest beer.
Dance: entertainment by a live oompah band
Watch: the Rugby World Cup matches will also be viewed on the big screens
COST: R60 per person will get you in and includes a souvenir mug and complimentary beer.

I might head out to this on Saturday... disappointed that it's only CBC beer on offer though.
