My middel box on my exhaust had basically been torn (still damage from how I bought the car) So I had a cowley box fitted yesterday. While getting onto the lift i hurt the front bumper, the driver side slide clip broke off and I got this fugly chip now Will fix it up when I buff the car. took the car to the mechanic last night to have my cam (284) and vernier fitted. Also to sort out clutch (still damage from how I bought the car) and the noisy lifters. Will hopefully start her up tonight to check idling and oil pressure. Will be in dire desperate need of a tune soon

Got back from the mechanic. Lifters was changed but its still making noise like crazy so we gonna replace the oil pump, the old one doesn seem to deliver properly (still damage from how I bought the car). So we didn put the cam in yet either. First wana get rid of the noise. So its another week 2 wait agen before da mechanic is free... Can't wait for your power figures, I want to see what the cam does once the timing gets advanced properly higher up in the rev range! I am running the same cam but without a chip the std ecu can't advance the timing enough after 5600rpm

Still have to break the motor in before i tune it properly. I bought the car with a bearing knock, so this is basically a full overhaul.

You don't need shims or anything, the hydraulics sort it out.
I don't know what i'm making after my rebuild, I must still go for a dyno sometime.

(standard cam that was cut ) Well the only way to fit a cam is to loosen head bolts and slide the cam into your cam box. But morras dad has a mcguyver that allopw you to do it with out loosening head bolts

Billet you shoudnt need to shim I think there base circles are standard . Check your rockers for wear and replace and replace H/ifters These big cams gives those lifters and rockers a work out. Check oil pressure (did you replace oil filter kit when did the overall)?

Got the cars fueling sorted, not too long ago, so its idling & reving fine. Car is pinging now again, I think the coil might be giving in. Car shoudl be going to the mechanic AGEN this month. Clutch needs to be replaced, head needs te be pressure tested, need to sort out the ping and noisy lifters.

This just arrived today from Ferobrake Epping. 5 copper puck button clutch with a single strap pressure plate. Thanks Tauzty, Yaaz and Mo200is for helping out. Should be able to get the mechanic to put it in on Thursday only, everything motor wise should be sorted after it leaves there. Project should go quicker after the accident with the Honda. Sad but also not, lol
