this is the design we hoping to be building for my UTE, the opel badge is the port and will have red LED's at the back of the port...the box is going to be covered in red and black carbon fibre wrap

what subs are u planning on running in that box?
i had a similar box for my UTE. Had 2x starsound digital SVC (900W RMS / 3000W PMPO) in that box and the sound was terrible. The volume in the box was too little for those subs. tried ports as well.
I bought that box @ soundmatch for R450 and i burned it 2 days later.

Ported boxes that has little volume/displace ment is a no no. Best sound 4 shalow boxes is a seald superwood box. C.A had/has awsome sound in his ute, dont think he has a port. But if its for looks then go for it.

I would like it for looks but my main concern would be to get the bass out of my subs...So u think it's best to just build the box sealed?

Even my Sony Xplod 1000W subs are recommended to be put in sealed boxes. reverbs better. The bass is normaly clearer with no ports.

Sealed boxes are more forgiving if the dimensions are out. Ported boxes need to be built to spec.

so do you guys think it will maybe be a better idea then to get 2 10's instead of the 2 12's so that theres more space inside the box? because the subs i have now has huge magnets and its right up against the back of the box

It's gonna probably cost abit more, but have a custom box made up for the subs you have. It will be worth it in the end.

Soundmatch quoted R1700 to have a custoom box made and to cut through the piece of metal behind the seats so they can build the box through cauz apparently thats the only way im going to get the bass out of the subs, but i dont want to do that because if i get sick of the subs im going to be stuck with a hole behind my seats, and im sure that cant be too good for resale.

what is the recomended volume for your subs?

wouldn't it be better to downgrade to one sub so that you can get more volume and get better sound from it? It should play better than if both subs are running in the incorrect volume
