history: .. had a PS2 ... loved it, but with the delay in releasing the PS3 (about 2 years after the X360 iirc) I opted for the xbox .. and after 7 years I still have it.

I had a PS2 slimline too, but gave it away to my brothers after i got an Xbox 360.
Im on my second Xbox now (slim)...must still have it flashed though.

best thing ever, i have a game library with disc content and pics on the console its self, no discs.
Plus i got all the OLD school games like sonic, pac man, contra, street fighter, metal slug, and other ancient games that work 100z

Never owned a PS, played the 1 and 2, bought me an xbox, I'm on my 3rd 1, due to buying and selling, never had probs with any of them. Current 1 is a slim, unflashed, and played a bit online, its lekker. I wud get me a PS3, got nothing against it. Just prefer the xbox's control.

swapped my xbox for a ps3 mostly for blu ray, but also because of the graphics.

not flashed or anything.

xbox controller is ALOT more comfortable.

also have a wii for tennis hahah

OK so I am sure I will be crucified for this but I have seen side by side demos of xbox 360 and ps3 for the purpose of graphic comparison and the difference is minimal.

Honestly, using the word "Detail" against console graphics is inconsequential

Im a former PC gamer, and took it seriously, had over 4 machines and two laptops, many resource upgrades and thousands were spent on new age GPU's... i had Gaming machines that out did consoles ten fold!

i was NEVA a fan of the console world purely due to its limitations, especially with the GPU (Both consoles having a 128 BIT Rate) THE GRAPHICS ARE k@k, for today's technology age lol, when compared to PC graphics (265 BIT Rate or way more), there is no comparison, what so ever. and im talking...

Anti-aliasing ( I really dislike the jaggered lines on the cars, road, characters etc, you get this with console graphics )
Shader rendering
Proper high RESOLUTION (screen dependant) but usually a true 1080P ( smooth lines and clear images, perfect for 3D gaming )
Distance drawing
Detail rendering
VSYNC

and so on...

I did compare the xbox and ps3 with my last gaming laptop on a 47" LED with games like Quake 3 Arena, COD's, NFS, GTA4 and the laptop outdid all, in terms of "Detail"

So for me, best graphics, hands down will only been seen on Gaming Rigs, however, it is sh!te expensive to build and maintain a gaming PC, hence my move to console...

Convenience led me to choosing from one, and i chose the Xbox purely cause i used the Xbox controller on the PC's and got used to it, could never use the PS tiny ass controller... plus i liked the flagship games from xbox...

AND i found out about J TAGGING,,,, that was a definite for me to choose xbox lol.

Both consoles are more or less the same in terms of performance,,,its really up to personal preference.

Yes, i used too, now i got a jtaged machine so cant play live anymore, can only play online on the j tag network but dam those nerds have all cheats and trainers enabled and they kill u just as u spawn so i dont play it often
