Hi Guys So finally the time has come for me to start with my conversion of going from 1.6 to 2L. First I would like to Wayne Nortje for supplying with most of the things I will need to do the conversion List of what I have thus far: complete SEH motor f18 gearbox 200is break calipers shafts 200is loom and computer box PROGRESS: Motor is stripped as I am going to do everything over. I want to go bigger pistons and work the head. I have a set of m3 e36 pistons(think its 86mm) that I want to fit. What are your guys take on this being done with a headjob? I will be using the corsa as a every day drive. Will upload pics as I go along but I have a problem with resizing the pics. Input and advice will be greatly appreciated Thanx

Ok what is your aim .
just fit XE pistons to the car or leave the stock SEH pistons they have a smaller pocket.
if you want compression to raise you will need to deck the block and head atleast 1mm off head and 1mm of the block . Dont still go treading with bmw setup in a 8v.
8v are tough motors dont need much things to get them hauling .

My aim is to get decent power out of it for now as I want to throttle it at a later stage. Ill scrap the m3 piston idea then and look for xe pistons. Thanx alot for the help thus far..much appreciated. Also can I do the bteak upgrade in the mean time on the ute while a hunt around for the rest of the stuff?

Ok you will need to change your sideshafts for that engine to work . you cant use your corsa sideshafts.
No need hunting for xe pistons you can go to alert or masterparts and ask for stock c20xe pistons and dont buy the expensive one no point.
I and a couple of other much higher powered then me have been running cheap AUTOPOWER pistons for over 5years .
My pistons costed me R750 for the set they been through sides, itbs and 2turbo conversions . go to alert they should have a set for you .
Deck the block while the motor is out and take a bit off the head.
Not sure what you mean BTEAK?

why would you want to use the same oil pump with a maguyver mover instead of using a new pump? I dont understand that logik.
