so the bearings has arrived. crank, conrods and pistons are in the block. checked the bearing clearance. everything in spec. head is also finished, new valves and guides and seals.

have done some calculations for the compression ratio. my static cr will be 5.5:1

Bore: 79.5
Stroke: 81.5
Combustion chamber of head: 50cc
Spacer that has been laser cut: 6mm
2 x head gaskets compressed: 0.9mm
Piston dish: -3.5cc

i ended up on 5.62:1 cr. so on low boost 1bar my cr will be 11.24 which will be safe for pump gas and high boost 1.7 bar with water meth 15:1 cr

will start assembly this weekend and will post photos later

You can't work out compression ratio like you are doing and 5.5:1 static comp is way too low, the car will be dead, you going to need 2 bar boost to make 120kw

Do u have to fit a spacer and 2 head gaskets?? If you bought Low comp pistons I'm sure u don't need all that man.

Ok sorry. Made an mistake on the head. Its actually 32cc. Which will change my cr to 6.75:1.
How do you calculate cr?

Old setup were like this
Piston dish 8cc and flat on the top off the block
Stroke 81.5mm
Bore 79mm
Gasket diameter 80.2mm
Gasket thickness with spacers 5.4mm
Head combustion chamber 32cc

Then i got 6.9:1

Wayno when i stripped the engine i didn't know what ill find. But what i found was a gasket, 3x 1.5mm spacers and another gasket.

I wouldn't go under 8.5:1 compression

I used that calculator. The standard pistons had a deeper dish than the 8.5:1 wossner pistons i ordered. Thought it was going to be deeper but it wasn't. So i had to make changes. But i'll see what happens saturday

There is also a boost compression calculator i used to check how the comppression would change under boost pressures. What is the max compression before detenation starts?

You can't work out what your dynamic compression ratio will be using boost without knowing certain things like camshaft specs, valve opening degrees, volumetric efficiency etc, so rather don't waste your time with that, also how are you arriving at your various cc's because stock those engines are over 10:1 compression ?
