Sooo after I SURFACED the forum, after 10 months according to CA.. ive come to ask about CorsaTech.

I Called Waseem today and he gave me some pricing....

R175 for Minor, and R650 for Major Service, note this is just labour...

Minor being oil and oil filter.. and obvious more will be major

Now I want the oil changed, spark plugs done and oil filter...that's it... so I think he showed me to a major service ?
but paying for Major service for one simple thing extra is bit strange... soo im confused a bit... :Uhmm:

Can you guys assist ? :Help:

Also Helix High Millage or Helix HX7 ?

Minor will be drain and refill oil. Most likely.

Major - he'll do above - plus plugs - air filter - most likely

Major he would also take the time to assess the entire car - mechanically. ( bearing / brakes/ fluid checks etc ) He won't comment on the stains on the seats or the empties behind ur seat - as example - that's not a major service task
The major service is my assumption. I have never dealt with him as yet. Others on this forum have
Has he given u an exact breakdown perhaps ?

Nah dude... Did not really give me exact breakdown noo.. I just told what I needed done.. so he switch over to major service... I supply all the stuff... he just has labour.. but I mean to pay that much more for one aspect of a major service ?

If you get my point ?

And I have a brand new K&N Apollo.. sooo im still good there...

I mean I can always do these small things myself and then go him when I actually need a MAJOR SERVICE...

But thanx dude

Lupi said I shouldnt reply, but I'll do so anyways
There are 2 types of major service options that he offers - the last time that I checked.

Major service option #1 will include oil 5lt, oil filter, vehicle wash & steam clean, fuel filter, air filter (which you don't need), spark plugs, 50 point check
The 2nd major service option will comprise all of the above + a full diagnostics scan & CO level check, 3lt gear oil, diff gasket, a set of wipers, etc.
So in essence, you wont be paying R475 more in labour for just removal of old plugs & fitment of new ones

Just make sure with him cos' he might have changed the options since last year. Prices have also gone up naturally (parts wise). Not sure if he implemented a labour rate/hr increase

Why dont you let him supply the parts? Are you only using Corsa-Tech cos' of the service book stamp?

Anyways, give him a call & check with him perhaps? Ask him for a breakdown. Clarify what you don't understand. I'm sure he will explain

My advice will be that the best person to ask is Waseem. We can all try to assist but why not go direct to the person for the clarity?

What a few of us can say is the service is good and he is decently priced. Also conversation is always good.

the service is very good and the pricing even better.. have him supply the parts, as he uses only agent parts from the last time i spoke to him.. also seen the ac delco bits and pieces in his office..

he has 3 service options total if i recall correctly.. but if he switched you over to major service, he will replace whatever he includes in that option, which may be more than what was mentioned, and the jump in price may then include supplying any parts that were not mentioned..

i speak under correction, it has been a few months since ive been there, but hope that makes some sense..

phone him and ask.. die beste antwoord gaan kom vani perd se bek..
