Have done just under 30 000 km since the engine swop and its still going strong. Been planning a rear disc brake conversion for quite some time now, and i was lucky enough to find a very simple bolt on conversion with little modification needed. I know the guys that have UTE's have had it a little easier, but the hatch and sedan Corsa C's have a different rear axle stud pattern where the stub axle bolts to.

They looked like they had definitely seen better days, so next was a good cleaning and sourcing some new discs and pads


Next was removing the drum brake setup and installing the new disc setup








While researching the rear disc setup i also looked at increasing the braking performance up front, which proved to be a lot easier.

Ours: Chevrolet Cruze 1.6L

Everything still works because i haven't removed the old ECU. Even though it doesn't run the engine anymore, you need RPM and speed sensor for dash clocks to function correctly. Only downside to this is EML and spanner light will stay present, as most of the sensors to the old ECU are not connected anymore. Hope that makes sense
