Guys, gals and evryone else . . .
1998 Astra 200iSE Euro 8v 20SEH motor
Exterior
Here's the idea - I wanna keep the outward appearance original, except for Angel Eye lights, side mirrors with indicators and 17's.
Engine
I was thinking about a rebore (what's maximum)
Adding a turbo (must management system be changed)
Adding a branch (advisable? would it add power?)
Interior
Need nice ICE - in-dash DVD/PS2 Console (more for the kids)
Redo leather seats
What else?

For what u mention above you looking at about R30K.
Exterior: Angel eyes look good, if ur car is black or a dark mettalic colour then take the chrome angels otherwise i prefer the black angel eyes.
17" wheels u can get anywhere from R3.5K upward
Engine: No need for rebore unless ur planning major internal restructuring.
Turbocharged doesnt need management, but i would definitely advise it for any further engine mods ur planning to be able to work.
The branch is the First thing u can do and least expensive...it will give u instant increase in power and throttle response.
Interior: DVD / PS2 sounds fun...there are a few people around who have done it already.
Get ur chequebook ready.

Thanks Ebie, I'm not really a speed freak (anymore). I blew my previous motor - oil pump packed up, broke 2 conrods, hole in the block and bought an imported motor, that was about 2 years ago. So now that my oil pump has packed (again) I was thinking of doing this project which will include a spray job.
If we're talking about 30K, then I'll do it over a year. But the focus will be more on the ICE - for the kids.

Smart...do the DVD in dash and headrest setup for the kiddies...plus nice mids and a Split speaker system.

Me not drive Kadett, me drive car with real boot Ebie, the colour of the Astra is white (not virgin white anymore, klaa ingebriek). The headrest setup you're talking about, is that the stupid clip-on stuff or are those mounted 'in' the headrest?

Okay...if you drive a white Astra then my bra Lupini can hook you up with a nice set of Black Momo Corse rims for your ride...he can even show you a pic of how nice it can look with angel eyes. Also Selwyn has a set of gloss black 17" rims looking schweeeet on his white Astra. Search for the White astra with angel eyes thread in the Show & shine section...couple of good ideas there.
